We are a safe haven.
The Center is available for a person with a disability should they be removed
from the home following allegations of abuse or neglect.
|
We help families.
The Center is available to adults and children with disabilities to stay when families and care-givers need a “break”.

The Respite Center is a four bedroom home that can accommodate seven individuals. The intent of the program is to keep families intact. Individuals come and stay for an over-night visit when the family needs a break or has to go out of town in the event of an emergency. This visit can be as long as needed.
This period of relief is often the break families need to keep going. For some families it is regularly scheduled and maybe one weekend every six months. For others, when something comes up they know they can use the Respite Center.
The Respite Center is available to individuals in East Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes. The Center receives assistance from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, United Way Day of Caring Projects and numerous volunteer organizations.
